I'm just tired of the absurd score system. IGN's the worst about it (what makes a game an 8.7 rather than an 8.5?), but if we're intent on sticking with numbers, I like the five-point scale.5/5 = Awesome - as close to perfect as you can get, a modern classic4/5 = Good - you should probably play this game3/5 = Decent - there's fun to be had, fans of the genre will likely enjoy2/5 = Below average - this game isn't very good1/5 = Bad - should be avoided by everyone. That's all you need, no quarter points, no half points, just five numbers used to sum up the actual review, where you actually learn something about the game. I don't understand how people can put so much stock in just the number review, it can't tell you much about the actual game. Every game is different, and it's ridiculous to try to hold them up to the same system as if it means anything. Let's look at Wii Sports for example, Wii Bowling specifically. It's simple, anyone can pick up and play, the control scheme is innovative (especially at the time), if all you're looking for is a fun bowling game to play with friends, this is pretty much the perfect bowling game. But the perfect bowling game isn't much of a "game," so why would I use the same scoring system that I use for Fallout 3? The two games aren't comparable. Same goes for movies, I'd consider Beetlejuice to be one of my all-time favorite comedies, and a perfect 5/5 on my scale, but I'd also say The Godfather is 5/5... so looking at just the numbers, Beetlejuice is just as good as The Godfather when they're two movies that are simply impossible to compare.
I was hoping the pac-man roomba would self destruct/explode when it touched a ghost =(

“See you can speak from experience, others can only use common sense. But for some reason, apologists simply have no way of acknowledging facts. And what you just mentioned is a perfect example. You don't need to commit murder in order to deserve a life sentence. Violent acts in which a person does not kill another almost always leads to murder at some other point in time. Look the history of many serial killers, the first few times they only commit rape or assault and then they move onto more violent acts which eventually lead to murder and torture.

I wonder if Dragon Age has ownership of its own Twitter handle?***** Dragon Age?
"Buy low voltage RAM. Some processors will be damaged if the RAM’s voltage is too high and buying low voltage RAM generally doesn’t cost anything more than RAM with higher voltage. This will also ensure that your rig will be able to take on new series of processors."lol.... the dude has no idea what he's talking about. I wonder if he realizes that your CPU and RAM run on different voltages? Low-voltage memory is for saving every bit of power you can or allowing you to get fairly large over clock gains when you apply "normal" voltage. |

And by beg you mean "Threw lots and lots of money toward him so he wouldn't accept the lots and lots of money the other networks would have been willing to pay him". It was anticompetitive - kind of reverse dumping. Instead of accepting tiny amounts of money for a product to kill of the competition in that market so you can dominate, NBC gave large amounts of money for a product (Jay Leno) to prevent the introduction of competition (from Fox, ABC, whoever) in the market (late night talk shows) so they could (continue) to dominate. That said, I don't think it should be illegal or anything, in case you got that idea. But it was a little greedy for Leno (I want to be doing late night, but I want to be filthy stinking rich even more) and a little evil of NBC (we don't want to allow America to have more choices in the late night sector).
