Regardless of what you think of Burton you can't deny that he's one of the more creative directors in Hollywood these days! He has a very unique style and really if you're bashing him you're not taking in to consideration all of his work.Lest we forget:Edward Scissor Hands, A Nightmare Before Christmas, the first two Batman movies, Beetlejuice, Corpse Bride, Sweeny Todd.Seriously, think about it, what other Hollywood director has half the style and creativity he does? Wes Anderson? Michael Bay? Spielberg? Yeah right. The reason I'm getting Dugg up Duke is because I've come to the realization that a movie adaptation of a book will NEVER be as good as the book (and more often than not complete ***** - I, Robot anyone?); however, taking in to consideration what he's capable of, and what the original book is like, he is certainly the most qualified, and might actually do the book some justice the way Stanley Kubrick did back in the day.
