When people STOP being outright appalled at one cop acting this way is when I'll know this country is really in trouble, because it will be because behavior like his has become so commonplace or accepted that it ISN'T noteworthy. With the number of people commenting who want to blame this entire incident on the photographer, or are writing it off as part of what rights we NEED to give up to "protect us from the terrorists", I'm afraid we're going in that direction. You're trying to apply the argument, if you're so concerned about this issue you're neglecting worrying about this other thing I think is more important. Much like caring about both starving children in Africa and homeless Hurricane Katrina victims, most people are capable of multitasking their outrage.

Hey can we put our name on your free WIFI for a couple of weeks? Sure, why not, you'll give us a couple bucks right?? I know that at least a few of these places already have free WIFI. (Free when I was there anyway) Changing free stuff to Google free stuff isn't all that exciting. But on the flipside, everyone should be using Chrome especially if they are still on IE. Also, Boingo needs to die... When I'm in the airport and need WIFI access for 5 minutes, I shouldn't have to pay up to $10 just to check a thing or two. If and when Google releases nationwide free WIFI, Boingo will die just like Blockbuster Video is... Good riddance... Thank you Netflix for that!! Member since 2002 and still goin strong!And on another note...(If there weren't enough already..) Get with the ***** times cell phone companies!! Give us all tethered access for free. You've been ***** us forever, just give us a break so we don't have to buy ***** like Boingo. |
